Root to rise: the art of arm balancing

Sunday, March 1 2026 3:30-5pm

Arm balances invite us to meet the edge between strength and surrender, between the upward lift of prana and the grounding release of apana.

In this two-hour workshop, we’ll break down foundational and intermediate arm balances including Crow, Side Crow, Flying Pigeon, Hurdler, and Eight-Angle Pose through mindful sequencing, intelligent drills, and energetic awareness. You’ll learn how to harness bandha (energetic locks), focus your drishti (gaze), and balance effort with ease (sthira sukham).

Expect a progressive flow that warms, strengthens, and opens the body before exploring flight in a safe, playful, and grounded way. We’ll close with restorative integration to balance the nervous system and anchor your practice.

All levels welcome. Come ready to explore your edges—rooted, steady, and light.
