August 16 - 18, 2024 | Fri 5-9pm, Sat and Sun 11-7pm

Ayurveda is considered a sister science to the practice of yoga. The practice of Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world’s oldest full body healing systems. It is based on the belief that we must experience mind, body and spirit balance in order to live a fully healthy and whole life. Join Jolene on a weekend of discovery as we dive into the history, practice and day to day applications of this 3000 year old practice.

The universe is integrally connected as are you.  The practice of ayurveda is a practice of internal balance that allows us to work with the energy of the universe instead of fighting it.  We have all experienced the sensation of flow and feeling like all is right in the universe and anything is possible!  Unfortunately we have also experienced those moments when stress is high, nothing seems to work in favor and we begin to feel unwell-physically and mentally.  The practice of Ayurveda is a practice that will teach you to spend more time in the flow state by cultivating internal peace and balance.  Ayurveda is a practice that is preventative and can help us live our most healthy and whole self.  Dive into this weekend so that you can utilize this ancient way of life in your day to day and share it with others.

The foundation of Ayurveda is the belief that we are all made of basic elements:  space, air, fire, water and earth.  These five forces of nature combine within us to form three life force energies or doshas.  We will discover our own mix of elements and energies and discuss the tools available to consistently create balance.  If you are interested in an entry level understanding of Ayurveda and how to begin implementing to create your own internal balance, this is the weekend for you!

Reading material, manual and an online dosha quiz will be sent out prior to the weekend of training. Plan to dress in comfortable clothes that allow you to move and meditate comfortably. Students and teachers are welcome to attend this workshop. Instructors outside of the 300 hour teacher training, this workshop does qualify for 20 hours of continuing education through the Yoga Alliance.
