VINYASA

January 19-21, 2024 | Fri 5-9pm, Sat and Sun 11-7pm

Guiding a group of students and creating a unique experience of self exploration is a skill that requires intention and practice.  During this weekend module we will learn how to effectively cue an all levels class through an experience that offers more than just the movement.  If you feel that you are ready to expand your knowledge of guiding vinyasa, this is the weekend for you!

Teaching a group class is challenging at the most foundational level. Once you fully grasp the skill of creating a sequence and leading students through class by linking movement to breath-what is next? After finding confidence in guiding pranayama and asana, there are still 6 other limbs that can be carried into class to offer an experience of deep connection. Creating that experience for students is what this weekend is all about.

Katie + Jolene will share their philosophy on cuing movement and how to simply weave in yogic rooted theming. Layering a dynamic sequence, crafted cuing, a curated playlist AND learning how to teach your students about yoga is how you create a full mind, body and spirit experience. The weekend will begin with a foundational review of vinyasa sequencing and the creation of a class sequence that you will use for the entire weekend. Your sequencing is shared through language so we will discuss the art of cueing and how to most effectively use your own words and voice. We will continue to layer tools and authenticity throughout the weekend until you have a complete experience ready to share.  You will finish the weekend with a class you are excited to share and the tools to create an infinite amount of others!

If you feel stuck, uninspired or just ready to add some new skills to your toolbox please plan to join us! Come ready to move, grow, share and have some fun! We hope that this weekend reminds you of why you began teaching in the first place. Please bring your mat, a journal, a book that you can resource for theming and whatever you use to create playlists.
